Indeed,
Islam is a religion that respects science. Even God himself through the Qur'an exalt those who have knowledge than ordinary people
some degree.
Allah will raise
up, to ranks (and degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted
knowledge. (Al Mujadilah: 11)
In
the letter of Ali 'Imran:18 Allah even start with himself, then with his
angels, and then with people who have knowledge. Obviously, if God so appreciate
those who have knowledge :
"There is
no god but He : that is the witness of Allah, His Angels , and those endued
with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but He, The exalted
in power, the wise. (Ali Imran: 18)
God
also states that only with the knowledge to understand the parable given by God
to man.
"And these
parables we make for man, and not understand it except those who have
knowledge" (Al ''Ankabut: 43)
An
'alim is also higher than in a religious expert who can whenever lost because lack
of knowledge. "The virtue
of the 'alim on the expert worship is like myself on the primacy of the least
of my best friend." (Reported by At-Tirmidhi).
Prophet
s.a.w. also said:
"When
it comes to me one day, being the day that I was not increased knowledge to
bring myself to God azzawajalla, then nothing will be blessed me the sun rises
of that day ."
If
God himself who directly deliver the promise and privilege for those who have
knowledge, whether we as His servants will still
be denied ?. God gave the command, God will also give us the ability to execute
the command.
God
directly provide guidance to us how it should reach the level or degree as
those who have knowledge, that is, in a letter al alaq: Read! In the name of
your lord and cherisher, who created. Also in other verses, God reminds us to
always think.
