PATCH ADAMS,The Inspiring Doctor

When the power of our technology without ever imagined intervene in human disease, the relationship between doctor and patient have become battlegrounds. Distrust and disrespect has been straddling the place that should be filled by the unity and harmony.

Falsehood is the modern form of the plague: he can kill. So says Matthew A. Budd, M.D. assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, in the preface of the book. That the core of basic human relationships are obscured by the procedures, technology and regulations.

Similarly, treatment of the world we've been apart of the things that gives us meaning. In an age when the power of technology without ever imagine intervene in human disease, the relationship between doctor and patient have become battlegrounds. Distrust and disrespect has been straddling the place that should be filled by the unity and harmony. That we, as physicians and patients, have a greater chance to be through the worst moments in life when we act as a close friend and mutual

Furthermore, Patch Adams outlines the relationship between doctor and patient in the context of the health care system that is experiencing fatigue. Fatigue is a state when people are not satisfied with their jobs and not enough rest. They've worked too hard and long; thus eliminating the excitement and enjoyment to help others.

But I refuse to believe that fatigue is a necessity in medical practice. I believe that health professionals are not aware of the feeling of fatigue "exciting potential" in the relationship between doctors and patient. Patient not hesitate to offer trust, love, respect them and many others to the doctor who put attentive attitude fun.

The cause of fatigue was none other than, first, poor communication. Excitement in a relationship will be lost if a doctor just spend a little time with patients; gone too happy to attach. Because sharing time is an important element in friendship, without friendship, working procedures the doctor will feel dry and shallow.

Second, the imbalance of work time and personal time. Continuously working to force myself for accepting responsibility can damage one's personal life. Ideally, a doctor should do a practice in groups of close friends who need each other and love, rest if necessary, and in collaboration with fellow practitioners colleagues.

Third, if the medicine is run as a business alone. Patients become consumers, physicians become paid service providers, rigid and can not share the emotions are very important in thefriendship. The health care  closed for the poor and limited to the others. Relationship with poor patient is not the same as those given in the rich.

Fourth, the fear of malpractice claims. Distrust seep into the relationship between doctor-patient and ruin it. To protect themselves from lawsuits, doctors require their patients to undergo the procedure and tests are unnecessary and merely defending himself. Anxiety against malpractice claims also gave birth to the nature of love to blame the other party, which could be a disease for which a team approach is very important in health care, and inhibit intuition, creativity and scientific investigation. Rigid medical practice into practice "recipe" that is mechanical. Saddest, malpractice situation deny the right doctor for imperfect.
